Hello! I’m Amy, the founder of All Abroad Languages. I’ve always been passionate about language learning and working with children, and I’m so excited to be offering local Spanish and French clubs here in Norwich and South Norfolk.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve lived and worked in France, Switzerland, Ukraine, Spain and Portugal - as a nanny, camp counsellor, chalet host, tutor, English teacher and teacher trainer. I’ve taught in primary schools, designed materials and worked as a teacher trainer for the Portuguese Ministry of Education. I spent seven happy years working for the British Council in Lisbon, before returning home to Norfolk to start a family.

I now live here with my Spanish husband and our two young daughters, enjoying the slower pace of countryside life. For the past few years, I’ve been teaching online and training teachers in content-based language learning with NILE and Bell. But now really I'm so looking forward to getting back into the classroom to share my passion for languages with young learners.

All Abroad Languages is a way to bring together everything I love - music, stories, movement, creativity, and cultural discovery, into vibrant sessions for children aged 3–11. I believe language learning should be playful and confidence-building, and I design each course carefully to make sure it’s both fun and effective.

Qualifications & Training:

• PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (Goldsmiths, University of London)

• BA in French and Anthropology (University of Sussex)

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Advanced Spanish & Portuguese (C1)

• MA-level units in materials design & learner autonomy

• Ongoing CPD in safeguarding, SEND, and pedagogy

• TeenYoga teacher training

• Enhanced DBS (March 2025)

• Paediatric First Aid (valid from July 2025)
